Come see why pilots that come to the Alabama Jubilee come back year-after-year for the great time and good friends!
It takes five or six people to launch and recover a balloon, and some pilots will depend on local people to help crew for their balloons.
Crewing involves a little heavy lifting and knowledge of the local area. They help the pilot assemble, inflate, launch, chase, recover, and pack-up the balloons.
Crewing for a balloon lets you see a whole other side to the ballooning experience that can be just as fun as flying itself; in fact many pilots have crew members that have been helping them for years!
If you are interested in helping crew, come to the stage at the beginning of each pilot briefing (18 and up only please) or fill-out our crew application.
If there is enough intrest we may also be hosing a 'Crew School' familrize potential crew with balloons and get to know you. Please check the schdule for this date, time and location.
Crew are not allowed to bring their vehicles onto the field nor will they receive passes to pilot & sponsor events. Crew should be of decent physical shape, will want to wear long-pants, close-toed shoes, and be ready to get dirty.
